 ESCAPE TO VEGAS Directed by Jim Nally
Drama documentary series recreating the most extraordinary prison breaks in recent times. After receiving a 10-50 year sentence for armed robbery, Jody Thompson started plotting his escape. He used his charm and persuasion to land a prized job in the metal shop, and then managed to hide in a delivery truck which drove him out of the prison gates and to freedom. Twice the cops believed they had him cornered, only for the quicksilver escapee to leave them flat-footed and embarrassed. The case culminated in a breathtaking stand-off - captured live on TV - during which Thompson conjured up one last cunning stroke to ensure he survived.
